Lauren Payer, BCaBA

Lauren Payer has worked with students with autism and other developmental disabilities using Applied Behavior Analysis for thirteen years. After receiving her degree as Teacher of the Handicapped she taught for seven years in a self-contained public school classroom for children with autism where she designed and implemented individualized educational and behavioral programs utilizing the principles of ABA. In addition she oversaw the transition of students into mainstream settings and provided all staff training.

Mrs. Payer has also earned her Board Certification as an Associate Behavior Analyst and for the past six years has been working as a consultant in the public school system.  Her responsibilities include developing ABA programs for preschool through high school aged students using B.F. Skinner’s Analysis of Verbal Behavior as well as conducting functional behavior assessments, and behavior intervention plans.  Additionally, she educates general education teachers on effective strategies for children with autism in mainstreaming and inclusion settings and social skill instruction. 

Mrs. Payer conducts workshops for VBN Training on various topics in the field of ABA and is passionate about improving the lives of people with disabilities.
