VBN Training conducts a series of workshops and provides hands-on support for school districts that serve children with autism and other developmental disabilities. Our training is based upon the research of applied behavior analysis ( ABA ) with an emphasis on functional communication using B. F. Skinner's analysis of verbal behavior (classification of language by its functions) to teach language and other important skills. We also provide training in Direct Instruction (DI), a research-based curriculum designed to teach academic skills such as reading and mathematics.

All of VBN’s trainers are certified teachers and/or speech-language pathologists who work regularly in classrooms with children with special needs. Our consultants are either a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or work under the direct supervision of a BCBA.
